Born in the Philippines and immigrated to the Bay Area of California. Left California for New York City where he was educated in the City Public School system. Attended William Howard Taft High School and later to The City College of New York , where he was elected Class president. Dr. Levi was also a Varsity Fencer. He received the Student Service Award and was a member of Caduceus Society, the Honorary Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Society where he served as President. He attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He interned at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in the Bronx, and was later accepted to Columbia University College of Dental Medicine . He received his Post Doctoral Degree in Endodontics in 1974., and was appointed to the position of Assistant Clinical Professor in Endodontics.He has served at Columbia University CDM since 1974 to the present a total of 44 years of service.He is currently serving as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Endodontics. He received the Oustanding Faculty Award in 2007, in recognition for 32 years of dedicated service to the Division of Endodontics. Dr. Levi was appointed an Adjunct Instructor at Nova Dental School NSU, and an attending at the West Palm Beach VA Hospital. Dr Levi practices in Teaneck NJ, Dumont NJ and in Union City NJ.
He is married to his lovely wife Janet and has a son Andrew and twin grandsons Jack and Aidan.
He serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Sephardic Jewish Center of Forest Hills NY
